With this special 4-day wildlife tour, expect to be part of the enchanting game viewing experience in Uganda’s 2nd largest park –Queen Elizabeth NP which extends up to 1978sq.km.

The key highlights of 3 day Queen Elizabeth national park safari include game drive via Kasenyi Plains and boat cruise on Kazinga channel. Queen Elizabeth Park is a rich protected area with diverse ecosystem ranging from Kazinga channel, savanna grassland, rainforest, wetlands and dazzling lakes.

Huge concentrations of mammals, reptiles plus over 625 bird species are all distributed throughout this magical park. The most significant of all are the tree climbing lions, cape buffaloes, elephants, leopards, and diversity of antelope families.

Day 1: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth NP via Mbarara (photography at Equator)

You will be departing from Kampala for Queen Elizabeth National Park in Western Uganda and today, you will be taking the longest route but enriching. The Kampala-Mbarara-Bushenyi route may take you between 7 and 8 hours’ drive depending on the driver’s speed. But key highlights en-route include the Equator crossing at Kayabwe –have fun with your dear ones on photography session as you stand between the Northern and Southern hemispheres or perform a water experiment.

From the equator crossing, proceed to Igongo for lunch break and you may also visit the museum (optional). From Igongo, continue to Queen Elizabeth NP via Ishaka-Bushenyi while viewing the scenic tea farms at Igara.

Not to miss also are the remarkable views of the long-horned cattle, and breathtaking rift valley escarpment. On arrival at the park, check in at the lodge around the Northern section.

Day 2: Full day experiences –game drive and boat cruise

Your long day begins with a hearty breakfast and after, catch up with the sunrise game drive via Kasenyi track. Lots of game viewing opportunities await you on 2-3 hour journey along Kasenyi including bush elephants, waterbucks, buffaloes, warthogs, spotted hyenas, lions, elusive leopards and many birds.

Drive back while keeping eyes on more animals along Kasenyi and on arrival at the lodge, have early lunch and some refreshments. Leave the lodge again for the afternoon launch cruise –this thrilling water sport excursion will be best done on Kazinga channel that links Lake Edward and George.

The main focus on Kazinga channel boat cruise will be aquatic life including hippos, crocodiles and water birds. After, get back and have the rest of the evening at the lodge.

Day 3: Depart from Queen Elizabeth NP

A superb breakfast be enjoyed early morning and after, check out of your respective accommodation. Get your property packed in the car and say bye to the magical Queen Elizabeth National Park. Take the same route you used on day one and expect to have lunch en-route, then another stopover at Mpambire Drum Makers. After the great learning experience at Mpambire, drive straight to Kampala.
